Richardson Fine Art Conservation and Framing provides conservation led art restoration, oil painting conservation and bespoke picture framing from a studio in Leicestershire.
I work with paintings, picture frames, prints, photographs, works on paper and framed artworks, offering practical advice, careful treatment and museum grade framing materials where required.
Services are available for private clients, artists, galleries, museums, historic collections and businesses across Leicestershire and the Midlands.
Picture Framing
Made to measure framing designed around your artwork and setting, using high quality materials and finishes to safeguard the piece and support long term display. Mounting, carried out using conservation grade materials and methods, with mounts specified to suit the work and its display requirements, improving presentation while supporting the artwork safely.
Art Restoration and Conservation
Specialist assessment and treatment to stabilise, clean and preserve paintings, bringing them back towards the state the artist intended.
Gilded Frame Conservation
Conservation and stabilisation of existing gilded frames, including structural repairs, surface cleaning and re-gilding, preserving the original character and finish. All work is undertaken with appropriate materials and methods to support long-term stability and display.
Technical Photography
High quality artwork photography for documentation, condition records, insurance, and reproduction, with accurate colour and detail. We also provide infrared and ultraviolet imaging.
